Earlier this week, we gathered at the headquarters of our beneficiary, A Precious Child, for our second and final rehearsal before the show NEXT WEEK at the Boulder Theater! We wanted to give you a little behind-the-scenes glimpse of the dynamic group of women you’ll hear on May 7th. It was another invigorating evening; we all laughed and cried again, and could have talked for hours. One of the best parts about Listen To Your Mother is the relationships formed–it truly is a community. And to hear all the stories together–pieces about beloved mothers, pandemic parenting, adoption, mothers-in-law, emptying nests, and the joys (snort) of parenting teens–was such a thrill!

For those who might be wondering what the show will be like, or even–is LTYM for me–we would love to tell you a little more! Whether you’re a veteran mom or a brand new one, a non-Mom or yes, even a man, this show has something for everyone! (And we’ve never met a man who didn’t love the show–really!) Because while LTYM is a celebration of motherhood, it’s also a celebration of storytelling, of family, and of the feelings, experiences, and relationships that connect us. It’s about the stories and moments that remind us that we are unique, and yet more alike than different in some ways. If you’re curious about the origin of the show and how creator Ann Imig brought it to life, you can listen to producer Stephanie and cast member Stacey’s interview with her on the Mother Plus Podcast–Ann is a visionary, a way-shower, and an inspiration for so many.
