Earlier this fall, we got the phone call that every parent dreads: “Your children have been exposed to head lice.” (You’ve started inexplicably scratching yourself now, haven’t you?) Today I am over In the Powder Room writing about our experience with this demoralizing plague- to find out whether we actually caught cases of head lice, you’ll have to read the full post here!
In other news, my HerStories Project partner, Jessica Smock, and I were on Scary Mommy this week, sharing our extremely helpful (ha ha) tips for navigating the world of online friendships. Stop by and read our Do’s and Don’ts of Online Mom Friendships!
And yesterday I nearly exploded with excitement when HuffPost Parents retweeted me on Twitter. I know- my life is very exciting.
Whoot to the tweet and to the Powder Room! Going now!
I was in JC Penneys shopping for bed linens when I received the call from my hysterical daughter that her darling puppy had fleas. I remember pacing the aisles, trying to calm her down, and attempting to offer savvy advice.
Congrats on your retweet! I’m not even on twitter (yeah, I know) and even I know that’s a big deal 🙂
Love the tweet, too. My older kid is 5 and only just recently figured out the real rules of hide and go seek. For years she would tell u her hiding spot first. Every single time.
